Unearthing 2b (June 2012)

June 21st, 2012

June 21, 2012 (first day of winter)

This film has been lying around for the past 4 and a half months, exposed to the elements in a pile of decomposing leaves. It was first unearthed in early February 2012 after being left for six months in a semi-buried state. The rest of the film was reburied in the earth in March 2012. But this small batch was left out for scanning.

In addition to this, an unknown strip of 35mm film was found submerged in water and partially buried in soil inside a neglected flower pot (I have no idea how or when it got there).

I took all the film out today, rinsed it off and hung it up to dry. Plans are to scan it by the end of this month. I’ll post a selection of scanned frames as soon as this is done.
